Анотация: Impressed with all the topics the author covered in this one volume. You can tell he's a university professor trying to help people understand that the ethos of Korean people can only be understood from its history long before the Korean war or today's K-dramas or K-pop. He does a nice job including the economic, cultural and religious influences that were happening concurrently. The illustrations, charts and graphs are very helpful. For people who don't know Korea's history with China and Japan, it's a real eye opener. Plus, he includes the Soviets' too. (amazon.com)
