The book is spread over 43 chapters selected to cater the needs of veterinary students, internists, academicians, clinicians and practicing veterinarians. Mechanisms of action of important therapies are described in brief for better understanding of the effects. The content of this book has been kept keeping in view the revised curriculum of the Veterinary Council of India for undergraduate students to fulfill the academic interest related to course work. The text is dealt with a simple, systematic classified and practical manner, avoiding complicated details, so as to make it useful. More than 100 appropriate illustrations pertain mostly to various surgical instruments, suture techniques and common surgical affections have been included to complement the text.
