Description: In offering this book to our colleagues in the various medical science we venture to hope that it may be useful not only as a textbook for the student in veterinary medicine, but also as a source of reference for the veterinary practitioner who may wish to renew his familiarity with the fundamental features of a disease confronting him. We should like to think that those in the fields of human and comparative pathology would find in the answers to some of their questions about diseases in domestic and other animals. Conversely, we hope that the student in veterinary pathology may gain an acquaintance with the fundamentals of many human diseases, which is appropriate as a part of his general educational background.
