Анотация: Tourism is a priority domain for the economy of many countries. The quality of the touristic products must be a strategic component and a key factor for the promotion of the country on the international market, in the present economic context. Security in tourism industry has been identified as one of the five forces causing changes in the tourism sector in the new millennium. Tourists demands for safety and security are ever higher. These realities require more efforts for the tourist protection, by guarantying both the quality and the security of the touristic destinations and packages. That is why it is important to have a training guide and a training curriculum, providing practical knowledge and skills to the managers and staff operating in SMEs in the tourism sector (hotels, restaurants and places for entertainment). The present paper aims at highlighting the main topics of some educational materials for safety and security in tourism, both for the training personnel and for the operating staff in tourism industry, following a transfer of innovation project related to tourism security.
